Description

TriggerPiling in Area MS-North encountered buried obstructions and artesian groundwater behaviour inconsistent with the geotechnical baseline GEO-RPT-004 (boreholes BH-112 to BH-118). Productivity fell from 6 to 1.5 piles per shift. Contractor early warning EW-CIV-014 received 11 May 2026.

Contractual basisAB 04 ch. 4 unforeseen conditions; owner risk per contract CIV-01, appendix 3 (risk allocation).

Scope of changeRevised piling methodology (pre-augering and temporary casing) for the remaining 64 piles in MS-North; standby and partial demobilisation costs for 12 to 16 May.

Do-nothing consequencePiling continues at current productivity: forecast +41 days to milestone M3, exposure to a prolongation claim under CIV-01, and obstruction damage risk to the piling rig.

AskApprove the revised methodology and release EUR 348,500 from contingency.
